A outstanding map of Bruxelles
Credited to Michael Floris van Langren,
the astronomer and mathematician to the King of Spain. The map is unusual
in that is drawn with the south to the left. The fine old cities of
Ninove and Leuven also feature. A good-looking map that contains an
almost inconceivable amount of detail considering the limited amount
of resources that would have been available to the cartographer in
the 17th century.
